Obviously, I want to learn more and improve the quality of my sewing projects. If you want to push yourself too, I suggest you do the same. You can start buying the smaller stuff then work your way with grander sewing equipment. You agree?

My husband wasn’t enthusiastic when I started out this hobby. But he slowly became a fan when I started making remarkable progress with my sewing projects. I could now see him grin every time he sees my finished work. His reaction truly warms my heart and inspires me to sew excellently.

I remembered I converted his necktie to a phone holder once and he was just amazed!  Right now, he supports my hobby, and you wouldn’t see him complain whenever I tell him I need to buy new sewing materials, supplies, and tools. My point is, when your spouse is not interested in what you do, you can try winning his heart by sewing something for him. For sure, when he sees you’re good at it, he would certainly become supportive.

I think rotary blades are a huge blessing! I use this for most of my crafts and sewing. It just glides and cut paper, vinyl, and fabric smoothly.

 

3. Self-healing cutting mat

The mat is self-healing. So you can run your rotary cutter on it, and the surface will just go back to normal. The grids are helpful when laying out your patterns and fabrics.

The items in this list are just one of the many advanced sewing materials that you can buy. You may start planning what to buy first then put the rest of the items in your wish list. As for me, I do have a long list of the sewing tools and equipment that I want to have one day. I’ll just take it one day at a time so to speak, and enjoy the sewing projects that I can make with what I have. But of course, it is always wise to start making the sewing projects with the right materials and tools.
